Title: hack is back...
Post by: hackenslash on January 28, 2012, 12:03:33 AM
And I promise to behave. I've come to the conclusion that there aren't any cogent arguments for the existence of a deity, and I've kind of lost interest, so I'm just here to make some friends and have some friendly chat. If I get close to the line (which is always a possibility, especially after a cheeky shiraz or two), let me know, and I will modify.

Like the new board, BTW.

Peace.

It is my intention to fillet arguments only, rather than subject them to blunt force trauma. I'm partway through writing a book, and I wwant to work on my delivery a bit.

QuoteWelcome back.

Cheers dude. And thanks for all the welcomes, peeps.

Good to see you back, hackenslash. I checked out your response to Light's post, and I really enjoyed it. I honestly don't think that your arguments are any less effective minus the sprinkling ( :D) of pungent invective which you have employed in the past. In my opinion, Light deserved the hackenslash treatment™ as much or more than some others, but I also think that thoroughly demolishing an asinine argument while maintaining strict decorum is a skill that is worthy of cultivation. I look forward to further efforts in that vein from you. Laptop of smallish variety. Nothing too sinister. My desktop PC is undergoing maintenance.

EDIT: Oh, if that wasn't what you meant, (tm) is ALT+ numpad 0153 (Or so I seem to remember)

Hack doesn't post much. This place curbs his usual robust rhetoric!  :D

Hackenslash huh? Let me guess, when you play D&D you prefer barbarians, and saythings like "to hell with all this role playing, lets to slice and dice some goblins!"

I'm from Manchester, and my favourite flower is Angraecum sesquipedale, the Star Orchid, as this flower led to one of the earliest predictions arising from evolutionary theory.

I don't much play computer games, and never D&D. The username is my RL nickname, arising from my approach to music production (my profession), and not inappropriate for the treatment I give to ridiculous statements.

I don't know you as I'm new, but welcome back to the forums and I'm glad you are here! Good luck on your book! I've written a few too, it's an arduous task to take on.
