I've heard media people talking saying it would be normal for a 25 year old to have never seen a pubic hair.
My opportunity to do real life research into the demise of the pube is severely limited, without risking going on the sex offender register anyway. My internet research seems to confirm the endangered status of the pube.

Ironically it's called a sextant. But it has nothing to do with sex. It's an instrument used to measure the angular height of the sun vs the horizon which allows a person on a ship to calculate their latitude (how far North or South from the equator they are).

A photographer named Greg Feidler did a couple of books of photos of people first clothed and then naked. I think it was HBO did show on his work and he commented on how few women these days were unshaved "down there". He sounded disappointed about it.
I would hate to photograph nude women, and see them shaved. It would have me question society and its image sent out that makes anyone WANT to do that. :(
