Iran car explosion kills nuclear scientist in Tehran (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-16501566)
QuoteA university lecturer and nuclear scientist has been killed in a car explosion in north Tehran.
Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, an academic who also worked at the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, and another unidentified person were killed in the attack.
The blast happened after a motorcyclist stuck an apparent bomb to the car.
Several Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated in recent years, with Iran blaming Israel and the US.
Both countries deny the accusations...
A conspiracy theorists wet dream ;D
I'm sure it was just one of those things. You know, spontaneous combustion or the typical car blowing up on starting. Nothing to write home about.
;D
it's an interesting moral case if it is a state-sanctioned assassination by the US and/or Israel, as I suspect it probably is. I think both are pretty desperate to stop the lunatics in control of Iran getting their hands on nuclear weapons, which seems pretty understandable to me.
The Israeli's wouldn't think twice if they had the opportunity, it simply would not be worth the risk. And I can't really blame them either.
It could be part of the motivational techniques Iran uses to encourage workers on their nuclear project.
Assassins wouldn't have gained such a bad name if there was more discernment exercised when selecting targets.
They can help us avoid the expense and entanglement of a declared war.
We just need a set of guidelines as to when to use them.
