Maybe I'm just slower than usual today, but assuming that you could use the methods these thieves did to take a container filled with anything off a moving train, why would you take one filled with corn?

They shouldn't be hard to catch, even now they are probably swanning around town flaunting their corn.
I bet the corn ends up as alcohol and gets sold in that form.
