Does anyone know why Attila no longer posts?
He posted often in "Religion" for awhile, then "poof," he was gone. That's why I'm posing this question here.
He sort of got into a small fight with one of the posters here and so decided to leave, or so he told me.

Moi? If so, I'm sorry. I didn't think our exchange was a fight, but maybe he thought differently.
No, not you. It had more to do with Earthling when he came by. He said he felt like he was walking on eggshells...or something like that.
Some people don't feel comfortable on some forums. Hackanslash hates theism, as do I, but he could not moderate his delivery in line with the civility rules here so he moved on. I think Attila felt overly constrained in the manner in which he wanted to respond and thus decided he didn't fit here. That's the impression I got from what he told me.

That was going to be my guess if anyone else didn't chime in.
Thanks for the replies. I did find his opinions interesting.
That's a shame; he and Ildiko were good value. I think I am now the oldest here, again.
Do you really think he felt constrained here? I always thought he was the epitome of civility... albeit with a well-measured vicious streak between the lines...
If anything I would say he was frustrated by debating opponents who were unable to answer his arguments coherently and directly. And failing that, there was no exercise here for his awesomely keen intellect.
I imagine he's retired to his intellectual cave to be all superior by himself...

Well if he's off to find someone to answer coherently and directly in defence of god, well good luck.
It'd probably be easier to find god. :)

Well, I'm 59. Are you older than that?

Yes, I'm 64. Atilla once said he was older - called me 'Young Git'. ;D
I think Attila was 69, I'm sure he said that somewhere.
hopefully Attila might come back at some point, I enjoyed his reading his opinions. Things got a bit heated when Earthling was around (for those brief few days!), I can understand Attila's frustrations.
I agree entirely - and let's not forget his good lady, she was great fun, too.

Well I did specifically tell him that his account would not be closed so he could always come back.
For the record, he PM'd me and it seemed he was doing well.
