so, I'm into computer programming. my favorite languages are ruby and python, though i think i have to side with ruby more.
i think it's typical for a mathematics guy to go into programming.
I'm somewhere between newbie and decently experienced with Python. I've made some basic programs and some simple games that earned high approval from a 4 year old.
Never tried Ruby, though I hear it's very similar. Gave Java a go and hated it, very much.
Also, I disagree, I hate math and love Python. XD
Been programming since I was seven.
Started in Basic, now I mostly program in C#.Net.
I know C/C++, PHP, Javascript (EMCAScript), Web crap (HTML, CSS, XML... etc.), Fortran, Pascal, Turbo Pascal, CoBOL, Python, VB, Java, SQL, Sequel, XAML... and many more! I don't like Ruby on Rails.
Also, I don't like doing math. But I also don't like reading and I do that all the time too.
My last career was programming.
Perl, SQL, C/C++/C# (got to study with Bjarne Stroustrup), Shell scripts, bits of Java, Basic, Cobol, etc...
I'm ok at math - it's the logic and beauty of coding that pulled me in.
Haven't really coded anything for about 5 years now.
I develop software in C# - I don't love or hate it really. On a good day, I see my work as nothing more than solving puzzles. On a bad day, I wanna scrape the insides of my brain with a spoon.
I have a lot more good days than bad days. Who wouldn't want to be me?
