Title: The Invention of Lying
Post by: MinnesotaMike on September 19, 2011, 06:38:23 AM
Quick question for those of you who have seen it:

Am I reading too much into it, or was this movie a social commentary on religion and man's blind gullibility when faced with promise?

If you haven't seen it (and even if you don't intend to think too deeply about the meaning), I suggest you watch it because it is rather funny  :)

Well, I took it as a commentary on religion since Gervais is a very out atheist and these topics turn up regularly in his stand up routine.
