Quote"If you respect that vow, you say 'til death do us part,'" Robertson said during the Tuesday broadcast. "This is a kind of death."

Thought you guys would like to know what the Protestant Pope had to say.
What a piece of garbage!! I am raging so hard rigjt now. The way he says it "a husband should divorce and start over"
Like the woman never existed? Piece of crap. If anything (cancer, whatever) happened my wife, I could not just toss her aside and remarry.
That's lovely, like there is NO other reaspn to get divorced. Get divorced for dementia, but not because your husband is beating the crap out of you, or because you're in a loveless marriage sleeping with other people.
.... Ugh, I wanna slap him with a trout.
I would take care of my wife until her last breath. That is what I promised her on our wedding day.
Anyone else think it is funny his example involves a man leaving an ill woman? I bet his opinion would be very different if he was getting sick and his wife wanted to split. What an asshole.
^ My thoughts exactly. If the roles were reversed, I bet he would sprout garbage like it's the woman's "duty" to care for her husband. It's only 8am, but already religion makes me rage. I hate the old crone so much.
Fuck Pat Robertson.
I can't really think of anything else to say when his name is brought up.
I'd like to see him and Fred Phelps get caught having a homosexual relationship.

They have some brand recognition issues me thinks.

That's how I feel. It's amazing how the PTL Club morphed into Simon (Pat) Says.
We have friends of the family who are going through this. They are both in their early 50s and she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers a few years ago. Her husband is completely devoted to her, even though she is able to function less and less each day. It's completely heart-breaking and inspiring at the same time. :'(
I think there are some very valid reasons for divorce, but I don't know how you could be so flippant about something like this.
