Title: Victory for evolution in Texas
Post by: Tank on July 23, 2011, 11:26:25 PM
Victory for evolution in Texas (http://ncse.com/news/2011/07/victory-evolution-texas-006802)

QuotePop the champagne corks. The Texas Board of Education has unanimously come down on the side of evolution. In an 8-0 vote, the board today approved scientifically accurate high school biology textbook supplements from established mainstream publishers--and did not approve the creationist-backed supplements from International Databases, LLC...

Some good news from Texas!  ;D

It's about time they did something right.  The considered alternatives were horrendous in not only the science areas but history and economics as well - it was more propaganda then academic.

Wow, Texas did ONE thing right.
On the other hand, I am envious. I wish I was taught evolution in high school.

*Gets on really southern voice* Well, we ALL know that evolution is a lie... My friends mom told me this and started making fun of NPR. My mom shouted at her. While my mom is a theist, she has a little sense.

When I hear NPR, they are usually referring to National Public Radio which is fairly unbiased source for news and discussion in the US.
