I was born and raised in a third world country. Forced to be Catholic not by choice. I have become an atheist because I gave up in trying to make sense on religion and its purpose. :-\ Somehow I feel that I am not accepted or that I don't belong to any groups here in the south (USA), everything is about church. It's a little bit frustrating. But hopefully this forum will be my daily escape and tool of learning. :) I'm looking forward to meet great people!! Thanks!
And im the Husband that made her what she is...
Love you
El Guapo
Thank you husband!!! If it weren't for you I wouldn't be a freethinker :)
<3 Love you too!
Welcome, both!
Hello to ya both.
This is kind of funny.
Do you each have your own keyboard?
Can we expect unfailing support for each other, or will you tell each other not to be silly?
If I give mentesensible a wombat will SamsChoice be jealous?
Far be it from me to create discord, a wombat each it is.

Welcome you guys!
I hope you each enjoy the pixelated wombats you were given in the response above me.
I must admit your relationship does kind of make me curious as to how it will affect your interaction on this board with each other and everyone else. Please post more to feed my curiosity, hehe.

Pixelated, are they? Well there will be no wombat for you.
Welcome to both of you!
Regards
Chris

:'(
Damn, I always do this. The only wombats I have are pixelated, so I say all wombats are pixelated. It's a vicious cycle. Nobody gives me wombats as a result of me not having any wombats.
But I guess I prefer capybaras (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2348/1855630306_9c84b1a10c.jpg) anyway.

Mega Guinea Pigs!
Capybaras I know them, they're the guys who always fall into piranha infested water when a film crew is about. Perhaps they are terribly shy and death by 10,000 teeth is for them the best option.
Anyway they are merely rodents, their noses just aren't in the same class as a wombat nose.
Maybe its a cultural thing. Can you explain the wombat thing?
We are both wondering what it is all about.
We are not native English speakers.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for the background information. Glad to have both of you here.
To some of our current members, can you please keep in mind that many, many people don't understand off-kilter senses of humor and bizarre references? This is an international forum, lots of different languages spoken and written, and some people struggle with communicating in English. Hell, I struggle with it, and it's my first language! In the introductions, especially, please keep this in mind. Welcome new members and remember that this is a new experience for them.
Thanks.

It's a gift, a silly gift I suppose but I do silly things, some times I amuse some times annoy.
A wombat is the most welcoming gift I know, I don't give them to just any one.
I'm making fun but not of you, and I think a husband and wife posting together is nice.

It is a cultural thing, unique to The Magic Pudding (TMP)! He comes from Australia (which may explain a lot). Some forums are fortunate enough to attract some eccentric/peculiar/odd/daft members. HAF is very fortunate to have a few including TMP and Asmodean (he's the little grumpy lump of clay). You did exactly the right thing to ask as it can be very odd here indeed, don't expect to understand it all, I don't :D
What is your native language and where do you come from?
Well Im kinda weird.
Born in the USA.
Moved to Honduras 8 month old and returned to the US.
My first language is Spanish but I am bilingual.
Cant spell worth a crap in either.
Ill let my wife Answer herself.
Thank you for your welcoming! And thank you to the Magic Pudding for the wombats and to the Tank for the guinea pigs. What am I suppose to do with these? LOL ;D
I am really excited in participating in this forum... as a brand new atheist, it is really frustrating not to be able to connect with other people because the only thing that comes out of their mouth is GOD, prayer and the expression: "be blessed".
Really, life is too short and I do not want to spend it in church....that's for sure.
Oh Tank!
I'm from Honduras and my first language is Spanish. ;D

You can eat the big guinea pigs, the wombats must be given a place of honour in you home, and this honour should in no way be like the honour you give to a nice leg of lamb, steak, or fresh chicken.

I've just had a quick scan of the Wiki page on Honduras. Looks like a nice place to live if you have money and power but not otherwise. Is that a reasonable assessment?
Tank,
You might be right. But if you have money, you can be kidnapped and killed. If you don't have money you can still be killed. If you are middle class, you'll always be robbed or ultimately get killed too.

this article was posted in 2009. Now things are even worse.

An interesting but not a particularly hopeful article. I would presume that things will get worse as anybody with the intelligence/capability to leave will do so. Thus leaving an underclass and an exploitative 'overclass', the former powerless to do anything the later with no motivation to change the status quo. I can see why you left.
