Yes! I found the light! And now I'm living happy, and content, because I know that science can deliver me from the depth of ignorance and superstitions!
Lol sorry couldn't resist!
Anyway, hello there, my name is Merna, I'm 16 and I'm a new atheist, probably the best decision I've ever made. I'm so glad I finally got the courage to put aside the fright from hell and use logic, I joined this amazing community and I already feel like a belong here!
It's funny because I've always heard people talk about atheism and the depression concept of having no after life, and how religion can set you free, and make you feel safe and loved. Ironically, it's the exact opposite.
This is the feeling I got when I first realized the monsters underneath my bed aren't real, to be free of superstitions, is to live happy!
-Merna
That's great, glad you separated the idea of monsters under your bed and God...
Hello and welcome to HAF, Merna. Throwing off superstition often feels liberating, and though some do find that religion helps them feel freed and safe, it doesn't work for all of us.
I hope you enjoy your time reading and posting here. (https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg830.imageshack.us%2Fimg830%2F860%2Fsmilew.gif&hash=8238eab24d16418eb1c8cd60d971239ab1363c74)

It's not cannibalism for a grumpy lump of clay to eat humans.

Hi
Hello Merna.
I was a voluntary churchgoer at 16, so you're ahead of me.
From a christians or catholic's point of view, the title of this post would be "I found the road to hell" Rofl I love ignorance.
