Hi,

john here from the WWGHA forums. I've come to see what Laet has cooked up over here. Most impressive.

I deconverted on October 4, 2006 after 25 years of Christianity, including outreach ministries, teaching sunday school, and leading a scout group.

I am ignostic atheist and monist. I also do not believe in the idea of a perfectly distinct self. When and as we communicate with others, what we share is at least as important as we think we are to ourselves.

Sounds like a heck of a transition! You might enjoy a wonderful piece that WillRavel posted on making through deconverting. I think it is now on our front page, or maybe it is under introductions....
