Just because I'm bored. Let's see if it catches on.
Rules are easy. A person posts a picture of an album cover blocking out the band/artist name and album title and it's up to the others to guess what album it is (remember to include both band/artist name and album title when guessing). The person who first gets it right gets to post the next picture for us to guess.
Don't make it too difficult.
So, I'll go first and I'll start with something easy.

OK, yes. My bad.

think this one's a bit too obscure too, it's German if that helps (and anyone cares!)
The German album:
Yeti by Amon Düül II. (There's nothing wrong with obscure; if people don't get an album, there is no hard and fast rule against posting another. Nothing is at stake here. In fact I think the more the merrier.)
Moving in a slightly different direction (and yes, this group might well be considered at least as obscure as Amon Düül II, but for different reasons):

It very well could be. I think one of the themes of the album is the way that people are manipulated by elements of modern society, and the efforts of some to break out of the standard pathways laid out for them; I guess a ventriloquist dummy could fit with that idea. Though I at one time had all of Firesign Theatre's albums on vinyl, they were tragically lost years ago, so I can't examine the image as closely as I would like.

I'm embracing Recusant's more the merrier approach.
How can I not, he's so wise gently pointing out our mistakes with that cigar of his. (I'd insert a goodwill, no sarcasm smiley here if I had one).
Neil Young - On the Beach

QuoteThe Notting Hillbillies was a country music project formed by Mark Knopfler, who was then lead guitarist and singer of the Dire Straits, with Brendan Croker, Steve Phillips, and Knopfler's bandmate Guy Fletcher. They made just one album, Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time.

SpongeBob's Greatest HitsThough I recognize at least one other album cover already posted, I'll hold off naming it, as well as refraining for the moment from adding another.
The Google image search, where you paste an image url and it finds similar pics works, seems like cheating though.
From the ban the poster above thread.

Googling isn't such a bad thing, I'd probably mention I used it.
I was impressed when I first used the search by image feature, next week it'll just be another thing I expect to work without thinking about it.
