When i was a kid, i never really thought about the idea that god didn't exist. I went to church till i was 4 years old, before my parents stopped being evangelical Christians and my dad became interested in paganism and mythology (which I have an infinite gratitude for). And I guess I just grew up the next 12 years with the belief in god in the back of my mind. Never really thought about it. And when i did it wasn't very deep. I became fascinated in Egyptian mythology, evolution, world history, philosophy, astronomy, and all sorts of other things, like music and film that enhanced my romantic understanding of the world. I then began to connect these fascinations with religion when i was 16. I asked why god created such a huge and vast cosmos he has no use for but for us to gawk at and then create pagan religions from it? Why are there connections of cosmology and Christianity? Why is evolution obviously factual to me, but not compatible with the gospel? Why is there hate from an all loving god? How can god send us to hell just for not believing in him? Why did god never contact thousands and thousands of years worth of Native American cultures? Why did god create suffering and evil, and give us the conscious to be victims of it? And then it hit me. There is no Christian god. He just doesn't exist. It was truly an enlightening moment.
I don't know if there is a God, or if there isn't one (if it can be described as one) but I do know this: If there is a god, he doesn't want the 'g' to be capitalized, he is moral, and loving, but he is NOT omnipotent. He is not precisely BECAUSE he is loving and moral. If he was omnipotent he would stop suffering. He might not of even had an intention in creating life in the first place. god may not even have a conscious. We will never know, or you know what, maybe we will. But I will guarantee you this; gOD IS NOT THE CHRISTIAN GOD.
Well thats me if you wanna know me.
