Hello, I've been an Anti-theist since 1985. My reasons for being Anti-theist is very simple. I am a logical and reasonable free-thinker that doesn't want government to rule over religion or religion to rule over government. I do not believe "In God We Trust" nor do I believe that any theism should be displayed or taught using public funding. I'm just that simple!

I chose to be Anti-theist on my own, I have 4 kids and married for 15 years and although I teach my Anti-theistic ways to my children, I also tell them to go to church with their friends because if they do choose the path I'm walking down, I want them to have a good look at what they'll be up against. I encourage my children to read the bible and other religious works because knowledge is power. I want my kids to feed and engorge themselves from the "Tree of Knowledge", I want my kids to be better than me in all things.
I enjoy my Anti-theism so much that I like to disprove theists and derive great pleasure from doing so. Not that I want to convert them, but I do want their eyes to be open to the truth and not open to delusions.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to engaging in deep thought with my fellow Anti-theists

Any luck with that?
Can you recommend any medication to counter the dizziness caused by circular argument?
Do you know any calming techniques I could use, something to ease the urge to whack em with my cricket bat?
Welcome Doc.

Cool. This place has a different ethos from other forums I am on and it's very good at keeping the temper of discussions impersonal, however much one feels like
If it's any meaning, I have a ton of christian friends still on my FB friend's list, they haven't deleted me yet... :D
Oh I think you're going to fit in just fine now. It was the term Anti-theist that caught my attention so I just thought I'd best give a taste of the culture of this place.
Well, I was just an Atheist, until I found out about Anti-Theism which fits me more. My wife (she's spiritual, not christian.. a.k.a. Nature Child) basically told me "Are you Agnostic, Atheist or Anti-Theist", i responded, "Atheist of course" and she had her doubts and quickly schooled me on what my nature is. I'm fairly happy about the "tag" so to speak. I'm a rather blunt guy, i call plays/shots as I see them and I don't rely on gut or instinct for answers to my questions. I mean, gut and instinct are in the equation, but I don't go by them. But whenever one of my christian friends says something sorta off the wall like "God took care of those atheists in Japan", well then, I have to pull out a whole buncha tricks from my cynicism hat and try to instruct them in a nice, but firm way...

Welcome!
Greetings, but be careful....conversion is best left to Christians....oh, and Scientologists...
Hello DrArkaneX
I also consider myself an anti-theist. There's no problem with that. Most theists I know are anti-atheists. We can still have civilised debates with each other and even become friends.
