Happy Atheist Forum

Hey guys my name is Max. I come from california. Im also part of a forum where me and some other guys are trying to get the "top dogs" from other forums to come and join us. We would like to just get serious members. Please drop by and register if you like. It is not really my forum but i would like to get some action over there. Instead of having to come here to other forums where their main goal is atheism. Well anyways drop by if anyone is interested.

It would appear that you have not read the rules as they prohibit spamming in one's first post, so I wouldn't be surprised if you find your link unlinked

I already get the feeling that would not like it there. Spamming in your first post seems to show that you have little respect for other forums, trying to get the "top dogs" gives me the impression of an elitist attitude and you're apparent desire for "action" implies that you're geared towards arguing for the sake arguing instead of arguing for the sake knowledge.

Just my impressions, I've been wrong many times before.

I think by "top dogs" Max means simply those that participate in forums frequently and not necessarily those that promote one idea over another.  He just wants that forum to grow and be active.

However, I agree.  Posting a link on the first post is not cool.  This is not the method to grow another forum.

Hey Max...hope you are willing to become a "top dog" here too.  Join and participate...only a few bite.

It's highly possible that my initial impressions are wrong and I let myself jump the gun. Also I was probably too rude to state it as I did.

Hello and welcome to HAF, nope.  You know, there are proper places to promote your forum.  In fact there's more than one site that's dedicated to just such activities.  I don't think that the moderators here will mind if I post a link (http://forumpromotion.net/) to one of them.  Don't worry, it's not a rickroll.

This guy's probably a spammer.

It might just be unfounded suspicion, but a lot of new people have been joining lately (some spammers), and not posting very much. I think at least some of them are the same person.

I wonder how he would feel if people only joined his forum to try and get people to go somewhere else?
