Hello everyone, I'm Dave, aka Event_Horizon.
I'm an atheist and freethinker. I call myself a skeptic mainly because I have a small background in creative writing, and when I started critiquing the world as I did other's stories, I found the best label to describe me was skeptic. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology - one class in particular led to my rejection of the spiritual. I like to write science fiction in my free time, so if anyone has a story in need of critique or they need ideas I can be a decent board to bounce off of.
I joined this site because I'd like to get some positive influence from intelligent people and expand my social net, while sharing information and wisdom, experiences and ideas. I'm also hoping the positive experience here will be a good counter balance to the negativity I find on the web.

Welcome to HAF! I've always been fascinated with psychology than philosophy especially in the workings of the mind and consciousness. I hope you'll share us your expertise in this field.
