Title: Does God Work People Like Puppets To Make Them Do Good?
Post by: Kylyssa on October 20, 2010, 04:17:34 PM
Recently, I got a somewhat upsetting comment on one of my pages on atheism.  It was a "giving credit to God" kind of comment.  You can read more about it in this thread. (http://www.happyatheistforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5998)  I decided to deal with the anger, frustration and sadness caused the remark by creating another page, Does God Work People Like Puppets To Make Them Do Good? (http://www.squidoo.com/does-god-work-people-like-puppets-to-make-them-do-good-)  It's a "duel" page where I encourage people to give their opinions on the matter.

Easy...if God has the power to make people do good, then he also has the power to make them do evil.  I'm sure many of the religious folk who respond to that will say that Satan is responsible for the evil in us...but Satan is not a god...he is simply an angel.  So unless angels are as powerful as God...which negates his omnipotentness...

If God works people like puppets to make them do good, he is a crap puppeteer.

Does that mean Satan works us like puppets to do bad? Why do we get punished for anything then? We don't have freewill.
