It is official, I have landed a teaching position at Princeton U for the Spring Semester.. YAY!!!!!!
So, I'm leaving the Great State of Michigan and moving on. I'll be moving in the next month, I hate packing and moving, but it's necessary.
Just wanted to share the joy with my new found friends. Peace.

Congrats! I live in South Jersey myself-maybe we can talk philosophy over coffee sometime.

I've agreed to teach two courses in the PhD program for Sociololgy and Social Policy; but what I'm really hoping to do is work with the research in their Population Studies program.
I'm flexible right now, I'm just happy to land a position there, been a dream of mine for a while. I was also looking at the University of New England in Maine, but New Jersey it is. My main focus will be to work with PhD candidates in the Arts and Sciences, I really like the fact that they focus on shorter programs of study in the PhD programs and as such limit the number of starts per cycle, so that way we focus on co-horts that are smaller, but way more intense.
I'd love to do coffee sometime, I'll keep in touch and let you know when we get there. I'm shooting for October to give my wife and I time to settle in a bit before I hit the ground running. I hear that new professors have to earn their stripes. I'm game.

Lucky bugger! I do a weekly run for work from Green Bay to Marquette and back regardless of weather (mostly). Been through a few nasty snow storms doing it.
