Hello all,
I've just joined as I feel the need to be somewhere with like minded sceptics!
My wife and step-kids are Catholic and my wife (with whom I spend the most time) steadfastly refuses to debate religion as she sees it as a slight on her character. She also will not accept that my beliefs are as valid as hers. There's nothing as intolerant as a Catholic, is there...?

I don't think any of the penguins here are evil.
Of course they could just be pretending to be benevolent.

Welcome to the forum! My experience with Catholics has been all over the place, from crazy mean and rude to super nice and accepting. It seems to me that generally people tend to be intolerant to a degree - religion just gives some people an excuse not to actively try to change that aspect of themselves. Anyway, I hope you like it here!
