Anyone catch this?
Good old fashioned lampooning, I liked it.
Brilliant episode. Totally quotable. Here are a few of my favorites:
Creationist protester: "I don't understand evolution, and I have to protect my kids from understanding it!!!"
Flying Spaghetti Monster: "Do you seriously believe I'm descended from some kind of flightless manicotti?"
Dr. Farnsworth: "I don't want to live on this planet anymore." I think we've all said this at one point or another dealing with creationists.
"Quick! To the Science Mobile!"Unfortunately, no, I didn't catch it. Only saw the preview. Is it online? Or when will it re-air? I've never seen an episode before.
It is indeed online, though you've never seen an episode? It's awesome.
My favourite bit was with the missing links, it completely demonstrates the fallacy, and the absurdity of people who attempt refutations of the whole principle based on inevitable gaps in the fossil record.

On an unrelated note, you have a PM.
Big fan of Futurama, and I was very happy to see it back. Haven't watched the episode you are refering to, but I'm sure my DVR recorded it. I'll check it out tonight!!
I liked how Bender was insisting that robots evolved through natural selection, even though scientists all know "Robots were created by a higher intelligence, fairly recently!"
But in all seriousness, I find it offensive that they had the audacity to say that the Flying Spaghetti Monster had evolved from some flightless manicotti!
