You're kidding, right?

But seriously, if it's nice beaches you're looking for then Paris is your best bet.

My map shows Madrid in the middle of the country, not on the coast.
I think they get their fun running away from bulls.
But for Spain

Were you getting Madrid confused with Barcelona, which is on the coast? If you have time/money for an internal flight then I would vicariously recommend Barcelona for although I have not been there my daughter has and loved it.

When are you going and how long? I love travelling but unfortunately never get to do enough of it.

Er, sorry folks.
I've just checked where Madrid is on the map, and cringed.
Geography was never my strong point.

Depends on what you want to do.

I liked the beaches west of Rota, and also around Malaga-Torremolinos.

Not much good surfing, but lots of pretty gals and a charming English presence in the latter area.

Not wishing to be rude but are you American? If so don't be too upset, very few Americans are a good at geography unless they have to be. One even bought 'London Bridge' thinking it was 'Tower Bridge'.  :yay:

Well the weather looks fine at 77f average. Why are you going, business/pleasure?

Your Madrid beach excursion sounds idyllic. Maybe I'll check it out when I get back from my Hawaii ski vacation.
