Hey guys, I'm 18 and I'm from Turkey :blush: )
But personally I'm an Atheist. And the day I'm out of here it's official. I never thought that religion makes sense, not even when I was small. I didn't get much pressure from my family either, and I'm very thankful for that, my bigger brother and sister are both very intelligent people (him being a very bright engineer and programmer working for Airbus (and on the A380) in Australia, and she's making documentaries about certain religious groups in Germany, scary people).
I myself still have to pass a few exams. Next one being a math/geometry exam next Saturday. And guess what, I didn't beg Allah for help, neither on the first exam I already passed, and somehow I got way better grades than people who prayed their **** off. ;)
I never felt right when talking with believers about religion, you just can't argue with their logic, I bet you know what I mean.
They think because it's in the holy book - it's true, they don't even have an epiphany of thinking that their holy book itself might not be true. :)
Sorry for the long paragraph heh, and I'm sorry if my English is a bit bad, the English teachers over here suck big time, I learned everything I know
from southpark and chuck hehe

There was quite a flood of Turkish atheists making themselves known a while ago when Turkey banned access to the Richard Dawkins site. There are more of you than you may realise. Your English is fine
