So, I got a YouTube friend request from this guy:
(no idea who he is or how he got my channel name)

Please let me know what you think I should do - Vote!
(thank you for your support),

Huh?
He's one of those folks who can really make everything he says sound like gobeldy-guk. Probably because you have to have already accepted all his (unmentioned) base premises to even make out what his argument is, never mind evaluate it.
Were I you, I'd just decline his request and move on.
I will always deny friend requests and subscription requests unless i've actually engaged that person in some kind of dialogue. I might consider it if they write me a personal message instead of a generic one but i'll definitely scan their profile first.
There's too many myspace dipshits on YT who seem to think an enormous friends list is something to brag about.
Ignore him Joe
I voted a solid WTF.
I voted to spam ban him. However, you could deconstruct his arguments in a video of your own and invite him...*chucklin*
I say friend him and show him the error of his ways

Hah! I like the way you think, yessir!
I'll probably just mark it as spam and move on.
I wish there was something in the bible about not being rude. Seems like it's ok to be socially inept as long as you're doing it in big-g's name...
Whatever happened to good manners, hmmmm?

Thanks. Too bad I can't come up with anything off the top of my head as far as manners are concerned. I'm at work anyway and don't have the time. But I'll see what I can come up with tonight.
'Course....if you go to a bible website...such as Bible Gateway...and search for manners or family values, you'll come up empty.
BTW...if you decide to do your own deconstruction video, let us know when you're done so we can become youtube buddies...*chucklin*

1 Corinthians 15:33: Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Extremely open to interpretation.
Luke 6:31: Do to others as you would have them do to you. (and in another form - Matthew 7:12)
Not everyone would do unto others as they would do unto themselves and visa verse.
Matthew 22:39; Mark 12:31; Luke 10:27: Love your neighbor as yourself. (this was an Old Testament idea which was borrowed from Leviticus 19:18 and deals with only Jewish neighbours.
1 Peter 2:17: Show proper respect to everyone.
2 Corinthians 8:7: Excel in the grace of giving.
Ephesians 4:32: Be kind and compassionate
Ephesians 4:29: Speak words that build others up
Ephesians 6:1-3, 5-8: Honor parents and authorities
Of course, one could find an opposing saying with every one of these. On the other hand, I don't see anything pointing to the fork HAS to be on the left of the plate, or a guy has to open a door for a woman and absolutely nothing about picking ones nose, let alone his balls.
After having time to think...... yeah, I upgraded my vote to SPAM!!!

Now there are 2 ideals that I can quite happily ascribe to with no 'woo' at all. Has anybody ever gleaned the Bible for stuff like that? The Good Bible could be the title. In fact one could do that for all holy books and create 'The guide to the good bits religions support!'

Thomas Jefferson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson). See "Jefferson Bible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Bible)" (Published as "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth"). One of the many reason the Texas Board of [strike:edkqdjr9]Being Wingnuts[/strike:edkqdjr9] Education wrote this founding father out of history.

Problem with that is the "Good Bible" would be about a 1/2 page long.
The sad part is that all this is to get you to Heaven. Be good for an eternal reward; not to be good because it's the right thing to do or be in society. It totally disgusts me.
And you can't be only good, you have to have this:

Well bugger me! I'll have to have a read of that!
