This is a neat website I stumbled across recently. It functions sort of like Wikipedia but for different purposes (data, etc.).

Wolfram is awesome. Type in 'a cubic light year of ice cream' and see what it says...
Mind boggling numbers.
The poulation of my birth town has nearly doubled since my birth. Totaly useless info yet utterly facinating to me. Thank you sophus, this looks like a fun and interesting source.
I was watching for the Wolfram|Alpha release for a while before it officially was opened. The guy who developed it, Stephen Wolfram, wrote an amazing book called A New Kind of Science (http://amzn.to/aAfdl9) that the W|A concept is essentially based on. The Mathematica engine is absolutely astounding.

The French and Swiss cartographers place it within France's boundaries on maps. That is what we also taught at school. The Italians however recently claimed that they own the Mont Blanc summit. Which basically means that it is a borderline case (figuratively and literally).
Whoever thought! The third world war starts over who owns a mountain top! Titter ye not, stranger things have caused wars in Europe!
Wow! What a great page. Off to my favorites it goes and thank you very much for posting it.
