I think that's a very stupid idea, there were much more chemicals outside of the rocks in the water and atmosphere than what could be obtained from the rocks, it's far more likely that rocks absorbed the chemicals that started life, making it more accurate to say that rocks almost prevented life than "life started in rocks."

Mine has more links, therefore more valid.
From the link the OP posted.
Quote“In so many ways, He has unfolded Himself. So many times, He has
expanded His expansion. Forever and ever, He is the One, the One Universal
Creator.†SGGSJ page 276
“God, who expanded His expanse, is within all; I learned this from the True
Guru.†SGGSJ page 671
“By His Hukam, the Expanse of the Universe is expanded.†SGGSJ page 760
“The Gurmukh knows that the Lord has expanded the entire expanseâ€
SGGSJ page 1054
I do not understand how this article could possible want to be taken seriously after opening statements like these. This seems like another attempt to discard scientific findings, dodge scientific understanding, and encourage a pointlessly philosophical view of an already physically complicated universe.
There's certainly nothing wrong with trying to make sense of the world around you, but I really feel that mankind has pushed such absurdities to their most expansive expanses now and sooner or later this expanding expanse needs to stop it's expansive expanding.
The Conclusion.
QuoteThe truths in Sikhism have been determined through experience of oneness
and this essay shows that both science and spirituality can be used to
understand truth in its many dimensions.
"Experience of oneness" is not evidence-based or proof of anything in any possible world.
Furthermore, I do not see religion (and certainly not spirituality) as even vaguely compatible with science. The only time I would say otherwise is when theists wish to embrace theories such as Evolution while maintaining their core religious beliefs. Although I find this a logical impossibility I would rather support them than make them choose between rationality and irrationality when at least partially embracing the former is better than completely discarding it.
