Illegal activity in the name of God. I guess it's difficult to be good with God.
Ironically it shows the vandals (presumably christians) to be closer, in a way, to us atheists than anyone might have suspected; if their "faith" can't even withstand the appearance of a suggestion of a threat of criticism, how much "faith" can they really have in their "beliefs"?
“Then again, perhaps some heavy object flying off a passing train could have struck it in front, although we don’t see any such object nearby and the billboard vinyl isn’t torn.â€
I do not secretly delight in hearing about violence or persecution of Atheism. "Oh yes! I reason to get upset and point my finger!" - sadly some do however.
I am hoping it was not vandalism. I will wait for the pending investigation before I make an baseless assumption.

True. But for the reasons they mentioned.... I doubt it. Plus there has been a lot of controversey over this sign.

"Florida Coalition of Reason" rings a bell, and I am unsure why - have they been involved in other activates?
Eagerly awaiting the inevitable joke about not being able to tear down a belief system that doesn't exist.

Bumping this thread because someone I'm FB friends with posted this (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=175413) article about a Christian endorsing the vandalism of atheist billboards. I wrote her a disapproving email about it-I'd encourage anyone else who was as offended as I was to do the same. Apparently, only Christians deserve freedom of speech now.
