So i would like to know why its so cool to be an atheist?
Im not sure what i want to be. My parents have their religion, im just not sure if i want that.
So i would like to know what your views are and why? thanks for helping me out:)

If you aren't sure then why did you describe your worldview as "hardcore atheist"?
You need to figure out what to believe on your own and not base it on how 'cool' something is.

Yeah ... were not atheists because it's an "in" thing (I don't see how being a member of the most hated minority in America is cool). You need to examine what you believe and why you believe it. Let that guide you to your world view. Be honest with yourself and be honest in your search and it doesn't matter what you become. Just don't be afraid to ask questions. If you have specific questions about religion, gods, science, or whatever just ask. Just don't label yourself something you are not to fit in (with whatever crowd thinks it's cool to be a hated minority).

Yo don't choose to be a Atheist. Di you choose to stop believe in Santa Clause or did you look at th evidence and realise Santa wasn't real. That how you become an Atheist you look at the available evidence for god(s) or religion and decide if the evidence works or doesn't. If you find the evidence for a god is lacking or non-existant then you simply are an atheist.
Some common misconceptions for why people become an atheist are rebelion, anger at god, wanting to sin, because it cool, an excuse for bad or no morals, ect. If you say you are an atheist for any reason other then a complete lack of belief then you are not an atheist.
