This just makes me sick.

People being slaughtered in the name of "peace loving" religions.

Again.

From the article -

QuoteThe Rev. Federico Lombardi, a Vatican spokesman, condemned the violence and said Monday that the conflict must be interpreted in the light of social, economic, ethnic and cultural factors rather than religious hatred.

The fact that the people being attacked were 'tested' to see if they were Muslim or not first and if they were they were spared clearly points to religious hatred playing a part in the killings.  Also, the social, ethnic, and cultural factors this guy is citing are obviously in part religiously influenced - are we just supposed to ignore that because other factors exist as well?  These kinds of comments make my rage meter tingle.   :brick:

Stuff flike this makes me sad and angry in equal measure. This kind of violence cycle is so difficult to stop when the root cause is religion. It took an entire generation to halt the similar cycle of violence in Northern Ireland although there is still tension in certain regions.  :shake:

Education, i guess, is key.

So many innocent people get caught up in bullshit like this.
