Title: Wiffle Ball
Post by: Fallen Jedii on August 15, 2009, 10:30:14 PM
I'm sure most, if not all of you, know what Wiffle Ball is. It's one of the best backyard sports of all time.

I really love playing, but I just can't seem to pitch consistently well. One day, I do well. The next, you might as well put Stevie Wonder on the mound and he'll do a better job. I'm pretty sure I'm throwing properly. I just have no control. Is there something I'm not doing right? Or are there tips you guys could give me?

It drives me crazy when I get humiliated and then have to deal with my friend's trash talking! I'd really like to be on the other end.

Look, I know this isn't exactly a sports forum, but you have to be able to tell me something!  :hissyfit:

I love the game and still play it a lot, but doubt that I can teach you how to pitch better over the internet. So the next best thing is Google:

Warning: this next page is annoyingly bright red!

Video tutorial. Amateurish, but you can link to other good tutorials from it.

Mostly, just get out and practice. And from personal experience, I will say that scuffing the ball is at the top of the important things to do. It's legal and will give you better control of the ball.

Good luck!

For some reason I keep thinking of Scrubs.
