Title: Hiyo
Post by: Tripcee on August 06, 2009, 08:02:12 AM
Hi! I'm Cody, from Oklahoma. Grew up bouncing from church to church, been to nearly every christian denominational church, and finally got tired of listening to people calling my family "satanic." But, that's not my reason for being an atheist. I'm an atheist, because I lost sight of how everything is controlled by that one single being, when we are the ones who put the wheels in motion :3 Anyways, I'm a gamer, reader, and movie watcher when I'm not working or in college.

Hey Cody, welcome to the forum.  I grew up in Oklahoma but moved to Dallas for work.

Hey Cody. Welcome to the forum. I have never really been exposed to religious belief myself. When I was at school in Scotland "religious instruction" was still on the curriculum. My uncle was an evangelist. But I thought their ideas were silly. If you aren't immersed in it as a child and you aren't a gullible person it's bullshit.

That's probably what I'm going to end up doing, if not move even farther, seeing as how I'm studying Graphic Design. - Wendy

Yeah...I didn't even buy into it as a kid. Somehow I just had bells going off in my head that things weren't quite clicking into place. I like the Bible, though, it's a fun read. - AIP

The bible is a fun read? Really? I tried it a few months ago. That and Qu'ran. I read the first chapter of both on account of having a religious girlfriend. They are really boring and badly written in my opinion. And they're pretty much the same. Qu'ran plagiarised? Silly.

HI CODY.
Haha you joined up, this is Awesome 8D 8D

I've read Revelations, if that counts? xD;; It was in the back of all our tiny purple gospel thingies we got in RE class.
Forget all about 2012, I think that shit would make one hell of an awesome Apocalyptic Movie.

Hi cody! Welcome to the forums :) I thought the bible was a fun read too, when I was younger I used to read it and laugh at all the silliness of it.
