I'm a bit of a car (and Top Gear TV) fan, and seeing as how I've contributed to posts like these on other forums, I thought about setting up a post here.
Post your favourite car (or the car you would love to own), and the reasons why.
For me, it would have to be the Aston Martin DBS.

Reasons why:
A classic modern-day GT car that's at home in Monaco as it is in the UK
Super-cool with the essence of James Bond built into everything.
An Aston Martin, one of the world's most classic marques.
anything huge. The more huge it is the more I love it. But because I have the environment virus I drive a small prius
No contest. At all.

Reasons why:
- Fits nearly anywhere.
- Veritable chick magnet.
- Sensible gas mileage.
I mean, just look at that thing! It's a total pimp-mobile!
My personal favorite:

I'm a Toyota fan. Had 2 Tercels (name for a male falcon), and currently have a kickin' Rav4 (name for, uh, marketing)

This is the only way to travel. It only gets abot 1.5 gallons to the mile (yes that's right) But it's got 1500 ponnies. There is NOTHING like the feeling of power and freedom when riding in the hatch of a tank.

I mostly travel by limousine.
(https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freefoto.com%2Fimages%2F1215%2F23%2F1215_23_12---Golden-Gate-Transit-Bus--San-Francisco--California_web.jpg%3F%26amp%3Bk%3DGolden%2BGate%2BTransit%2BBus%252C%2BSan%2BFrancisco%252C%2BCalifornia&hash=52cb5427acacc7d2b3f1e211f1a27334d1108ebf)
Reasons I prefer limousines:
They're bigger than most cars on the road.
24" rims!
They attract women.
I can read or use my laptop as I am driven from place to place.
They're inexpensive.
I don't have to park them.
I don't have to maintain them.
No need for insurance.
I can use them while drunk.

I really enjoy the train. My family and I usually go down to Disney for a week or so and we not really crazy about flying. We get rooms on the train so we can sleep and talk, then we go to the dining car for dinner. It may take about 17 hours, but it's a great time.
If I had to pick my favorite car...it would be the Lincoln MKZ: http://www.car.com/images/2007/Lincoln/ ... MKZ_20.jpg (http://www.car.com/images/2007/Lincoln/MKZ/400/07_Lincoln_MKZ_20.jpg)
As for space travel...an Imperial Star Destroyer
If I would have the money I'd love to buy me this car

Anyone ever heard of the Tucker? It was pretty innovative for its time. I think there's a movie on it too.....
(https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.businessweek.com%2Fss%2F08%2F11%2F1111_defunct_auto_brands%2Fimage%2Ftucker_car.jpg&hash=1c9f890064dfe6733162c8e23911ea4fd2c98394)
The engine is in the back so the front hood is actually the trunk.
That middle headlight turns with the steering wheel to better light the road when you're turning.
In an accident the windshield will fall outward (before airbags).
Some other features too... don't remember what they were.
I have a red Prius... and it's the best car I've ever had. I don't plan to buy another one... nor is there one I'd want. I don't care for sportscars. I've done the minivan thing. I don't do big SUVs or trucks. And the gas mileage is superb. I love my Prius.
Joe has a dark blue Scion and he loves it as well, though he'd trade it in in a heartbeat for a dark blue Prius if we could afford it. That's his dream car.
We're boring, I know.

There was a movie about the Tucker car, right? Great car! Very innovative.
I'd really like to have an electric car...that looks cool.
Since I can't find the one I remember finding before..the Chevy Volt isn't bad

'70 'Cuda...yeah well, cause I want to sacrifice mpg for hp.
Quote from: "Squid"yeah well, cause I want to sacrifice mpg for hp.
worth it.
This choice of vehicles seems much like the rest of life. One can choose an everyday sensible vehicle of no particular importance like my public transportation example or a Prius. Or one can choose something beautifully absurd and personally meaningful like Squid's '70 'Cuda. There is no in between. Well actually there is but don't be a slave to the system! Lol.
I'd be quite happy with this little beauty:

What's the name of the little blue car? It's awesome. Thanks karadan.
The little blue car is called the Peel P50, AlP.
I've suddenly had a change of heart and I would happily drive this: the Fiat 500 Abarth.

The owner next door to where I work owns a DBS. I was obsessed with that car for a while, until I kept seeing his everyday. Now it's just blah!
A car that I'm really forward to is called the LF-A, from Lexus. It's coming out in 2011, costing over $300k, and reservations only. This is, probably, my dream car as of now. So Sexy!!!
