What I really want to know is: are there any rules against swearing?

That's what I want to know the most. lol

I'm certainly no expert, but it doesn't seem there are any rules about it. I do think if it's used unnecessarily or in "the wrong" context, most here will not appreciate it. However, I've seen plenty of "bad words" used, but typically in a mature, reasonable context. It tends to fit with the overall educated nature of this board. You will find (as I have) that this is a much more intelligent forum than just about any other you will find on the interwebz.

I've noticed this board is more intelligent than most. I'd assume a board built on philosophy would be somewhat educated at least. lol
