Title: My Ass is Bleeding?
Post by: Godless on April 12, 2009, 09:46:40 AM
Ok, let me first say this: I'm not joking in this thread.

After using the restroom both today and yesterday, I wiped my butt and the toilet paper was covered with blood. I really have no idea as to why my ass is bleeding, since I haven't even been feeling any pain and I'm not sick either. I'm just wondering if anyone has a clue as to what this is? If you need to know, I'm only eighteen years of age. And no, I don't have an STD since I'm still a virgin  :|

First, if it continues, see a doctor. No one here is qualified to give medical advice. Second, see a doctor. No one here is qualified to give medical advice. All we can do is Google Bleeding from the Rectum and make guesses.

I concur. If I had to guess I'd say it's probably either hemorrhoids or post-anal fissure (I think it's called). Either way, unless there's blood in the stool, it's most likely one of those two things. Blood in the stool can mean cancer. Blood (only) on the paper, usually something much less serious.

Then again, I'm not a doctor; I only play on one television.

Hope you feel better. So, as McQ said, see a doctor. It's kinda their jobs to take care of these things.  :)

Incidentally, I really expected this to be  Don Hertzfeldt reference.

What McQ and Curio said.  If it's internal you'd be in mean trouble.  It also might nearly nothing, but there's no reason to take the risk.

Not to make light, either, but I originally thought this thread might be something to do with it being Easter.  Just seemed an odd day for a such-named thread.  >_>

Agreed on all counts...

I've had it happen, and it's definitely scary.

Doctor visit is in order, for sure.

Hope it's something minor and you feel better soon,
JoeActor

p.s. Tucks wipes work pretty good if it's a minor external issue.
p.p.s. and get some softer TP ;-)

You and me both, especially since I had just sent the following picture to my Mom and Dad with the e-mail titled Happy Easter:

(I'm sure my mom will love it. lol. She'll probably send me some Christ-themed Easter e-mail now to make up for it. :)

My ass used to bleed. I went to the doctor. It was hemorrhoids. They are not a serious problem but they can get to be quite painful. It could be a symptom of something serious though. Go see a doctor!

If it is hemorrhoids, you can have them removed. Alternatively soft toilet paper or even better Preparation H wipes (http://www.preparationh.com/products/wipes.asp).

This happened to me after I was somewhat exuberant in my defocation ( I was in such a hurry that day, shitting myself was all I needed ). I think in my case it was just a lil tear in my poor sphincter, my advice, use baby wipes for a few days.

If it continues or you see blood in your stool ( which could be black by the way ), then I suggest an intensive course of accupuncture, or if the case is really bad, have some homeopathic remedies ( only a little though, that stuff is strong ).

Well, I think it's actually starting to get better since there's a lot less blood now and I don't feel it as much when I'm shitting. What really pissed me off is that I told my parents about it and they just used it as an excuse to berate me for sleeping late, saying that it's part of the cause. They do that for just about any medical problem that I have, such as tooth aches, headaches, soreness, etc. and it's getting really really annoying to me now and makes me feel like not even telling them about any medical issues that arise.

That sounds pretty shitty ( eh? eh? ), my family always like to have a dig about something or other, which is why I so rarley tell them anything.

If sleeping late caused anal bleeding, I would have died last Saturday.

Go see your doctor, Godless. Worst case scenario you waste a few bucks on copay.

Well, I can't answer how old SSY is, but my mom wanted to dig way further into my medical issues than I was willing to disclose in my teenage years.  She 'had' to go in with me the fist time I went to the gyno, ok.   So I can understand being annoyed by parents and medical stuff.

Anyway, go to the doctor get yourself checked out.  You are probably okay.  If you must let your mom know, bite the bullet and just tell her even if it makes you feel uncomfortable (If you feel more comfortable with your dad, tell him).  In ten yours you will probably be able to discuss this stuff with your mom and/or dad without feeling embarrassed.   Just think of all the weird medical things they have and have to get tested for!

Depending on how old you are, you might be able to go to a (free?) clinic without parental consent...which is a good option if you really don't want to have to tell your parents.  School nurses are also a good resource; you tell the nurse and s/he can help to talk to your parents.  Any down under medical issues are certainly a taboo in Western culture if not all cultures.

edit: You're 18...you don't have to tell your parents unless you need to use their medical insurance...in which case you still don't have to tell them but it will show up on their insurance paperwork.

20, I have no hopes of this stopping in the next 20 years though. Whenever I go home, I have to stave off visits to the doctor, the dentist, questions about my regularity, my diet. It's actually very draining the 50th time. I wouldn't mind so much if I was demonstarably ill, but I am literally fine. I spend more and more time at uni these days.

I concur completely with McQ.  Also to my knowledge though, sleeping late doesn't usually cause anal bleeding.  It's the lack of sleep that tends to do damage.

Ah, yes. Revelations 7:14 "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them red in the blood of the nonbeliever's bottom."

And, don't worry about that as it won't have any details, insurance companies can't list details even on your EOBs because of HIPAA privacy so you can always say you had a serious migraine or something:)

Can I just say, this is my favorite thread ever. Not the whole anal bleeding thing, per se, just the fact that people will openly talk about anal bleeding.

A-ma-zing.  :hail:

Nope. My mom told me to wait and see if it got any better. I did so and my ass stopped bleeding. I guess I was wiping my ass too hard?

Does your mother often delay getting proper medical treatment for herself, or just you?   :upset:

I'm thinking that the hemorrhoid suggestion made earlier is likely, but then again I'm not a doctor.  If you are still concerned, ask your family doctor if he will see you and then send a bill to dear old mum.

Last october I had a really bad pain in my stomack, much more so than from normal stomack cramp dioreeah pains, after it had calmed down about every half hour i would get a cramp and blood would come out of ones botty. I had managed to secure a nap and when i woke up and it happend again I went to the toilet and the loo roll was absolutley covered in blood. normally I ignore any medical ailments I have but a lifetimes supply of blood coming out my arse wasn't something i could easily ignore. I went quickly to the G-doc's and they had a poke around  :(  I was kept in hosptial over night and in the morning the doctor said i had got gastroenteritis and when the pains got bad take some paracetamol, which made the pains go away thankfully, and the blood cleared a few days later. But really, bum bleeding is not something to ignore.
