What if we have it for the PS3? Well, I don’t, but my broâ€"inâ€"law does. He also has Virtua Fighter 5.

Virtua Fighter 5 doesn't have online play.

I don't have any games like that.

I'm not much for online play. I've been playing Dead Space lately and wow, it's good. Talked to the game's art director the other day. Nice guy.

Here's the trailer. Think... Doom meets Event Horizon meets Alien. Quite addicting.

I rock the PS3.

PS3 version doesn’t. the XBOX 360 version, however, does feature online play.

You were talking about the PS3 version.

Wow, you know my mind! I simply mentioned it as an aside. He has VF5. I didn’t talk about its online capabilities, though I spoke about SFIV.

I'm sorry, when you said that your brother-in-law had a PS3, and VF5, I made the insanely unjustified assumption that you meant that the game was for the system.

Online gaming seems to be becoming more and more popular, my son loves it but I just get too anxious.  I do like to play Monk's Germicide: Outbreak every now and then but I get overtaken by the germs by level five so it's a bit disappointing.

I consider online gaming always popular for many many years. It has grown even more so simply because consoles have now added capabilities PCs had for yonks. I honestly think LittleBigPlanet has kicked off so much because it takes what PC gamers have done for years and allowed console users to do the same thing (modding community).

The only online game I've really gotten into so far was Mario Kart Wii. I used to have a Wii and 360, had to sell both though, fell on hard times. One of these days I want to get another Wii though, I love that little system.  :D

I was deciding a while back on whether to get SF4 or KZ2. Now I am a huge SF fan but since all my friends were getting KZ2, I'd thought I'll join them. And plus, $60 for a fighting game is a little overpriced in my opinion. The KZ2 single player was kind of odd and slow which started to make me regret buying it. I was going to not play it for a while until I tried playing it online with my friends. The community is great and it's such a blast going against my friends.

I agree about KZ2. The graphics are mind-bending. The gameplay is frenetic, requires forethought and kicks your ass when you forget strategy. Unfortunately, it the only real color in the game is the red glow from the Helghasts' eyes. It is visually boring and it doesn't get really, really fun until you've already put six or so hours into it.

Actually, for me the game wasn't hard at all. It just got really boring for me after the first hour or so because it was just some generic shooter. The online mode however is really fun and addicting. I've spent about 10 hours or so already trying to rank up. Do you have KZ2? If you do, I'm assuming you have a PSN name. We should play together sometime!!!
 :hmm:

 ...I'm a renter. ;) PSN: curiosityandthecat. Check out my GamerDNA (http://meiguoren.gamerdna.com/) and friend me on there, too. It's a cool site, great for networking with other gamers that share your interests. I also use it to catalog my games (both old and new ... though that's slow going: I'm only up to 34 right now).

Cool! Thanks! I'll add you either tonight or tomorrow because I have school all day today. I even have a night class which sucks! I'm only 20 years old and hopefully when I'm 34, I'll still be playing video games. What PS3 games do you have?
