I recently commented on a story about a gent, Dean Fuller, who objected to Christian prayers before Dodge County Board meetings. He decided not to do a radio interview after death threats. There are commenters who don't believe he got death threats. I chimed in that I have and over far more minor "waves" at that.
Heck, people like PZ Meyers and Richard Dawkins probably get bushels a day.
So if you'd like to set them straight you can find the comments on this article:
I don't want to come on the air, I'm getting death threats (http://www.620wtmj.com/shows/johnjagler/38997437.html)

Oh, they absolutely do. And they're nasty. There's some Youtube videos of Dawkins reading his hate mail. Wonderful Christian folks, they are, too.
Hypocrisy is a christian speciality.
I submitted a comment but forgot to copy it to paste here prior to submitting it; it's pending approval.
I mentioned that the person who started why wont god heal amputees had to distance himself from the site due to the threatening email and phone calls he was recieving. People were calling him at home making threats.
I also said that at some point you just have to quit worrying about what some crazy person might do if they are offended by what you have to say.

I've often thought that if there's someone who gets tons of hate mail, if they REALLY want to rile up the haters, then at their next interview when asked about hate mail they should reply "Hate mail? No, I don't receive any hate mail."
