Ok, i knew Fox news was bad, but i didn't realise it was this bad.
I'm kind of dumbstruck that this kind of bigotry is on the airwaves.

That is very sad. What a couple of morons. I don't watch Fox News, so I don't know these people, but that is NOT a news show if this is the kind of stuff they discuss, and if this is the way they discuss news stories. How pitiful. The blond haired woman is a total loon.

Indeed. I really dislike bias in all it's forms when it comes to the news. This clip obviously isn't representative of most other news networks around the world. I'd be equally pissed off if the newscasters were atheist and they derided christians in this way (even though I'd be agreeing with them on the inside

).
News should be as objective as possible. The above clip really got me fired up not necessarily because of their stupid views, but because they broke almost every rule of news casting neutrality.
Michelle Malkin is a goddamn retard. I swear. We have a Junior Malkin that writes for our university newspaper and it's just ridiculous to see how they justify their positions. I think that blonde woman missed the point of using the sign, too.
See, this is why I've always been a proponent of mandatory sterilization at the age of 11, only having child-birthing abilities returned when people can prove they're not going to water down the gene pool any more.
I always argue with my mother about this crap: she's a conservative Republican and I'm a liberal Dem/social Libertarian. She reminds me that Faux News is the "most watched news channel" and I remind her that it's because if you count everyone watching the rest of the news stations (like CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, BBC, NPR, etc), you get a much larger number.
How dare she! I should club her and eat her bones under a bridge!
Does anyone else remember when Michelle Malkin called Rachel Ray's neckscarf a a jihadi chic keffiyeh? Boy, she's a smart one.
QuoteThat's my point. If you don't stand up for it, it might just disappear. I'm talking about christianity.
We all certainly hope so. But, a call to arms?? Seriously, you blonde haired ****?? (rhymes with runt)
QuoteMaking fun of them, and mockery, is the best solution.
Really Michelle? Are we all back in 3rd grade now?
These people literally made me feel sick.
As much as I've always hated Fix News (Fox Noise if you prefer), this is a new low. These f*ckin idiots are so uneducated on the subject it makes me sick...and angry. They want to ridicule and mock us as a solution? What the f*ck?!?!
Rather than being outraged by this clip, I actually laughed while watching it. Blathering buffoons like these crypto-fascists only make the case for Christianity, and American Christianity specifically, look even more absurd. This is probably the most Christian country in the world, and yet these clowns feel the need to portray themselves as under attack by the mighty hordes of American Atheism? Surreal!

As for the tactic of mocking unbelievers, that's like somebody standing waist-deep in a tank of cow manure pointing their finger and laughing at someone who has just gotten hit by guano from a passing seagull. The over-dressed rubes on Fox are merely preaching to their choir of mouth-breathing reactionary blockheads, who already have decided that there is an Atheist Menace. It's what makes them money.
Very sad, and they mention "Christmas Wars" with regard to one sign that was posted? And they are condoning the removal of free speech signs? I myself do relax and let them enjoy the Christmas season, and have no idea why they react as if they are being attacked. It was funny how the guy was trying to intervene with humor and get them to pull in a bit, it didn't work though....as nothing usually does with two cats screeching in the night. Pathetic.
OMFG! Ignore and ridicule us as a means of keeping us in our place?! F'ing F! I really believe that they are digging their own tiny, narrow minded holes to be buried in. Fucking flat-earthers!
From a network that gives Bill O'Reilly airtime, nothing surprises me.
True, but you know what you are going to get with Bill O'Reilly....this is supposed to be a news show, they could at minimum pretend they aren't totally biased! Makes me think of my Grandma watching something on this network during the campaining and telling me that Obama wanted to exterminate all of the old people. She really believed it! So dangerous to just blurt out stupidity like this.

Love it. I love it every time they say atheist on TV. You guys should too.
Keep atheism in the spotlight. Let the next generation of Americans, the kids watching TV, ask "Atheism? What's atheism?"
Dude, Malkin argued against stealing the signs, and the blond chick objected!
Is she advocating theft?
I don't believe all publicity is good publicity. Although to us they are stupid to the masses watching that aren't non-believers they are just getting confirmation for what they already think/feel.

The orthodox are reassured. The marginal are not. That's who I am concerned about: the believers on the fence.

Yeah, what Wraitchel said.

I do feel physically sick when I see that kind of nauseating crap. That the best way to "deal with atheists" is to ridicule and ignore us? What are we, in 3rd grade universally? And yes, they DID use a commandment to make their point because the only thing those people will listen to is their bible. Why is universal peace so threatening to these people? <insert soul-shattering scream here>

I can't speak for all of them, but many believe that "peace on earth" is equivalent to the One-World System that will foreshadow Armageddon. Ironically, they'll "fight" attmpts at this system coming to fruition, even though it's a prophetic inevitability to them
I remember when i was a young teen and went to church, around the time they started changing the design of some of our currency, and there was a tract about how these re-designs were evidence of the one-world money system coming to fruition. Aside from the fact that a redesigned bill has nothing to with such a thing, being a coin collector at the time I wondered if the same conclusions were drawn from the laying to rest of the Buffalo Head Nickel, the wheat penny, the two dollar bill, etc. Our currency has gone through so many changes.
As a Christian, I think it's hilarious that she kept objecting to the sign being replaced with "Thou shalt not steal".
Yes, how dare someone post a Bible verse in a public place...

Quote from: "Ihateyoumike"And the best part? Not once did I hear them mention that the act of stealing the sign was, in itself, stealing and is wrong according to the sign that would replaced it.
Apparently, putting up a message of doubt is so much worse that it overshadows that commandment.
I don't get it.
This is very true. *sigh* People get so wrapped up inside their heads sometimes.
In a side note, that's actually one of the reasons I'm glad to be a Christian - because people *suck* SO much - and the Bible provides a very good structure for improvement.... - it's unfortunate that so few people see and follow it though, they're often much to busy trying to enforce "thou shalt not"s onto people they have ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to.
Hmm - that actually gives me an idea... I'll have to take note of it as a prayer item.
I may vomit....
They have mastered the art of stereotyping people. How insane is it that they talk about how awful the atheists are and don't even touch on talking about the actual criminal who stole the sign? Uh... hello? Since when, in America, is one exercising their freedom of speech worse than theft?
I also get frustrated when theists don't recognize a quasi-religious statement as well. They say don't use it if you don't believe in it ("thou shalt not steal"). Well, I do believe stealing is wrong. I just don't believe in a magical man who can walk on water. In addition, that particular statement was to show their hypocrisy. If you're going to preach stealing is wrong, why would you steal? I suppose anything is justified in the name of the Lord. From killing your firstborn child to stealing a sign.
Ridiculously maddening, yet humorous at the same time.
