I think most people find the dreams that they have to be an interesting topic. The same goes for hearing about the dreams of others. It has been my experience that people other than myself usually have dreams that I never have and so I find that hearing about their dreams is pretty fun.
On the morning of January 16 of this year, I had a dream that was.. well.. unique. I was a young woman (still my age) and I had a young woman's body. I was wearing a skirt, some rings, and a white shirt. That was to me a wonderful experience. The strange thing though was that I had a twin sister who was an identical twin; same appearance and even the same name (whaa?), the only difference was that she was 16 years old while I was 21. We were five years apart even though we were twins.
During nightfall I went outside and discovered that a black bear was on the loose in my neighborhood. It ran after me for a short while and I had to keep jumping over fences until I got back home. In my living room I was standing with my young sister and then my father entered the room. The man who was my father in the dream was not my biological father..... it was Penn Jillette!!
Please share dreams that you have.
well i usually have dreams about those three themes:
1) loosing a tooth
2) earthquakes and
3) tornadoes
now the "script" varies in each one

The only dream I can recall was from my childhood. I was about 8 and had a dream of Sasquatch chasing me in a field of tall grass. My legs were extremely heavy and I was running in slow motion while Big Foot was gaining at an incredibly fast rate. I woke up terrified (urine may have been released). Does that mean I'm gay?

It would had been better if he taught me the way that a parent does. Then I could say that Penn Jillette personally taught me how to be.
Usually in my dreams someone is chasing me and trying to kill me. Typically I get away but sometimes I get caught and they beat me to death, yikes!
I also often dream that my teeth are loose and when I go to look at them and touch them I just start tugging and pulling them out. It's really gross because they don't just pop out, I actually have to twist and pull but then they come out. I think this one stems from having some gruesome oral surgery years ago where I mistakenly drank coffee in the morning and couldn't be put to sleep. Or could be anything, who knows?
If dreams mean anything at all, what do dreams about your teech coming out mean? I had that one about 6 months ago. I bit down on something and all my teeth cracked then fell out. I woke up thinking I didn't have any teeth. I'm glad it was just a dream, that would have created a very expensive detist visit (not to mention needing dentures at a young age would really suck).
I've had only one dream about losing my teeth that I can remember and it scared me. It really did. I woke up feeling my mouth completely convinced that I had lost several teeth. And once I found out it was a dream it didn't make me feel anymore relieved. I was still so shocked at how real it
felt.
I used to be a Lucid Dreamer. Now that I'm old and lazy I just let my dreams take me wherever. Has anyone else ever tried Lucid Dreaming?

Here's what DreamMoods.com says:
Quote from: "Dream Moods"Dreams that your teeth are falling out are the most common dreams we here at Dream Moods receive. Common dream scenarios include having your teeth crumble in your hands, fall out one by one with just a light tap, grow crooked or rot. Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean?
One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.
Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.?
Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.
I can actually go back into my dream at will. I often wake when my alarm buzzes in the middle of a great dream, hit snooze and tuck back in to my dream. I'm not sure if I get all the way back in or just make my mind continue because I'm not sure you can hit dream phase that well. I'll also pull outside noise into my dream: phone rings in real life - I answer it in my dream; cats start bugging me in real life - I get up and feed them in my dream. Freaky. (Pitfall to that was being younger, have to potty in real life - go potty in my dream....uh oh!)
I go with the loss of power meaning for teeth falling out in my dreams. I frequently have such dreams during times I feel powerless or helpless or that my life is out of control.
The whole time I was reading that, I was waiting for you to make out with yourself.
My weirdest dream of late was me, sitting at home in the front room when something falls down the chimney into the fireplace. I ignore it, but then more start falling. I go over to investigate, only to find they are pigeon feet, they then start to flood down the chimney, flowing out onto the hearht and covering my feet ( I feel the scratchy dryness ). Then one massive one ( think a pigeon foot, but the size of garden spade ) falls down, squawks at me and starts dragging itself along the floor towards me.
The one I just woke up from was also a bit strange. I was in my room at home, only to find that the walls were covered with tart cards, except instead of pictures, they were comprised of anatomically correct models of the girls in question, made from blue tack. Then someone or other moved into the room next to me, and I got paranoid trying to keep her out of my room, can't remeber how it ended, but it was something to do with her re-upholstering a chair in foam I think.
This probably means I am gay, or at least Sociopathic.

I use to do that then be late for class. I wouldn't really realize I had done it till I woke up later in the day. For me it was due to lack of sleep. At least, I think that was the case because it hasn't been a problem since I graduated. I can still go back into my dreams on the weekend though. I don't remember most of them in detail, just that they were dreams. Most of my dreams involve sorting out stuff that happened during the day and sometimes it's hard for me to separate what was a dream and what was not till I get up and move around a bit.

Was your statement
The whole time I was reading that, I was waiting for you to make out with yourself in reference to my dream? Lol! If that had happened, well, umm, that would of been interesting..... and probably enjoyable.
A dream of your wall covered with those pictures? Yep, you're gay alright.
I hate to say it, but for months now, I've gone to bed hoping not to dream.
Usually, my dreams have to do with falling madly in love, and then losing her, all in the course of a night. Being single for a year now probably has something to do with that. Also, the fact that I'm one of those (possibly rare) guys who is a hopeless romantic doesn't help. But, to say waking up depressed from a dream every night doesn't affect my daily life would be an outright lie. Those are the vast majority of my dreams, but sometimes, I'll also have dreams that I'm suddenly living in a warzone and constantly having to run and fight for my life. Oddly enough, I don't feel as bad after those dreams then the other ones.
Luckily, I'm usually able to shake it off fairly quickly.
In keeping with the emerging theme I'm seeing in this thread, and to lighten my post up a bit, does this mean I'm gay?

Makes perfect sense, after waking from the warzone you are happy to be at home in your bed, the other is just a potential let down for later. Hang in there!
Fascinating, Gwyn. In my early twenties, I had a dream which contained two themes for the first time which would become ongoing, and both of those are in the dream you describe.
I was at a pool, and a large, featureless black "shadow character" started chasing me away from the pool and down a street in my hometown. I turned at one point to look behind me, and my POV turned to third person, so that i could see myself from behind when I turned, and i wasn't myself but rather a girl, a high school friend to be specific. This was the first dream I can remember 1)being a girl and 2)the mysterious shadow man pursued me.
It's interesting that you had a dream with both of these themes, being a girl and a black bear chasing you. Since every dream I've had since then with the shadow character has also involved the theme of ambiguity of "self", I can only imagine that there's some connection. I've read that "blackness" represents "everything" and has been related to themes involving the "oneness" of everything.
yeah, i love dreams, I think they're about as close as I get to "spirituality", though its kid of a scary version, as it makes me wonder if when we die we dream for eternity. Sounds all beautiful in an esoteric way, but if one actually retained their conscious, thinking mind, it could be kind of hellish. Better than burning in fire or floating around the clouds forever, though, i suppose. More of a mixed blessing than ultimately good or bad. On that note, I've often found when discussing dreams that many people describe their dream worlds as having a Tim Burton flavor, myself included, which kind of makes sense, because I could use the same phrase to describe both: whimsically frightening.

This is very interesting!
On the Qabalistic tree of life, black is the color of the sphere of the primordial mother. It corresponds to Yang of the Taiji. In other words, it is femininity itself personified as a color. I think the entity that chases us has to be black colored and frightening because (1) it is the very female gender and (2) we are not willing to fully embrace and fully identify as the female gender because we know we just cannot.
In your dream you were your regular self and then suddenly you are a woman. In my dream I was already a woman and with me was a younger woman. My first dream of being a woman was pretty interesting; I was a woman but I had my male sex organs instead of female organs.. and I was making love to a regular woman. Perhaps our dreams may reveal which gender is dominant for both of us?
I'm a gamer and I find that a lot of my dreams reflect the games that I play at the time. Since I've been playing a lot of Gears of War 2, I've had several dreams where I would literally turn people into a bloody pulp with a varying assortment of weapons. I also remember when I was around eight or nine years old and I would watch my older brother play Resident Evil. One night I had a dream where the last boss from one of the games was chasing me and some other people through the jungle. It managed to rip apart one of the guys who was with me, an Australian guy (I don't know why he was Australian). I ran up a platform onto some sort of structure and the boss busted through the ground and was standing in front of me... then I woke up sweating.
Here's what the boss that I'm talking about looks like:
