I'm Lila, I'm a university student from England. I'm happy to be here, and I hope to get to know you all.   I'm an atheist, and have been ever since I can remember.

Hi Lila,

Me and Improbable are both UK based ... it sounds like you're in the US right now though?

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sure you'll enjoy! What are you studying? Tell us a bit more about yourself and really become part of the community.

Hiya Lila!   :D

Don't be shy, come on in.  We have coffee, cookies, and nice, hot SACRILEGE.

Err, I mean . . . towels . . . yes.

I'm studying International Relations. It's just a focused kind of politics, really.  Err, as for more about me- I love reading. Half the time my room looks like a book explosion. I'm a symphonic metal fan (although I don't really like death grunts, so Within Temptation and Nightwish are my thing). I also get very irritated with creationism, subjugation of women, "demons", "Satan is doing this to me", and all other things of that kind of rabid fundamentalism.

So bands like Nightwish (maybe?) and Epica? I quite like those too (I'm relatively new to metal anyway, was soul & dance once) and I like those (some of the Nordic metal bands (for lack of a better name) are great.

Welcome!

This place is great. I'm also from the uk (cambridge) and have found this site to be hugely friendly and fiercely academic. There are some very intelligent people here  :hail:

I'm pretty sure you'll have a good time.
