Let's try to think of all the interesting and productive things that are better than going to church. Describe it, post a picture, or even a video!
Here, I'll start.
Watch paint dry!

Tea in bed (with biscuits and mucho Mrs/kiddy cuddle), breakfast (bacon, sausage, egg, fried bread followed by toast, watch TV (any one of many good SciFi/Supernatural TV series like "True Blood" ... God Hates Fangs, very appropriate for a Sunday I think), read the paper, watch the Andrew Mar news/politics show, read a book (currently Frank Herbert's "Dune Messiah"), three S's (sh**, shave & shower), get dressed, surf the net, build a PC, surf the net some more, help daughter's with homework, watch "Merlin", do some ironing (not so good but get to watch more TV), Tea & cake, more TV and surfing, dinner, Sunday night beer, sleep!!!!!!
Or I could go to church ... tough decision (I think not)!
Kyu
Hehe...I went to church today
[spoiler:1zxq1hy6]Well...I really did...but it was the North Texas Church of Freethought. So, no preaching was involved.[/spoiler:1zxq1hy6]

OK, someone was able to draw that. I can't fathom that. You'd think each and every line from the moment they'd conceived it they'd burst out laughing and jut an unintentional line down. But for how much of a laugh I got out of that I'm sure glad the artist was able to keep it together well enough to get it down. ;)
Oh, yeah, pics.

honestly i'd rather be working at one of my jobs than be at church . I grew up in a catholic family and catholic church might as well be a 4 hour tae bo lesson. Best excercise i got in my life. And i've been in marching band before.
church is usually sunday morning right?
i prefer scuba diving
One can go to church everyday if one wishes but most uber christian people go on the weekends and on Wednesdays.

Why wednesdays? His omniness is too busy doing stuff on wednesdays, no? Does he not listen to prayers exclusively on his days off?

Okay, your turn.
Watch the grass grow, watch the wind blow, correct fundies' grammar on YouTube comments! etc.
I usually contemplate epistemological arguments and practice buddhist meditation. (though I don't necessary believe in any of that buddhist jazz. I do like the meditation though.

)
Well

Taking pictures of my pet. He sometimes get to stay in bed.
Bang out some phat beats on my drum kit.
Prepare, cook, then eat a beef stew.

Me too. I used to be a Buddhist (buy that "Buddhist jazz"), actually. They have a good philosophy, and they make GREAT smelling incense!
I went to a movie this morning. It was fun.

Cool! What, if I may ask, made you change your mind? I know buddhism is a very atractive philosophy, though some of the branches can be a little... strange, if you know what I mean.
For me it was information theory. Yep. that's what made my say no to buddhism.
My friend asked me to play golf with him this Sunday morning - I responded "I don't play golf on Sundays." "Keeping the sabbath day holy?" he asked. "No, I'll be sleeping off a hangover from all the debauchery from Saturday night."
:banna:

Hahaha! I love it!
Realizing religion is on to us about our agenda to impose our satanic rule of reason and logic upon the world, I have decided to go all the way and paint “REASON WAS HERE†on the church wall while they are having mass next Sunday.
If I get arrested I will let you know. It is after all harmless and nothing a little paint can’t fix, or hide as it where
Ps! Not a militant atheist
Good luck.

I've tried meditation as well. I kind of suck at it, but I'd liked to get into it more. Really, most of the music that I listen to is my meditation. What I'd really like to get into is yoga.
Drive past all the cars parked for three blocks around the local church as I head for my favorite kayak launch site, muttering, "stupid fucking sheeple."
catch up on xkcd

Coving the church in question with gasoline, and lighting it up.
Quote from: "Ninteen45"Coving the church in question with gasoline, and lighting it up.
(not only would that be unethical and illegal but it would require going to church

)
Same thing I do every Sunday...

...and it doesn't involve anything remotely similar to a church.
