Title: Happy Halloween!
Post by: Whitney on October 31, 2008, 06:00:40 PM
I hope everyone has a wonderful time tonight on the one day of the year adults are allowed to play dress-up without being considered strange.

Brian and I will be McCain and Palin and we are attending a party hosted by a very nice couple who are fellow freethinkers.  What is everyone else planning on doing?

Please post pictures!

We don't really do Halloween here so I'll do what I always do, I think... Well maybe, just maybe, I'll go have a beer with the guys tonight.

Have a good Halloween everyone!  :)

I'm at work right now in a lab coat with a security badge on that says "US Department of Defense - Nuclear Research Division - New Mexico" and the name "Banner, Bruce - Ph.D." I'm also carrying around a Erlenmeyer Beaker filled with Mountain Dew.  Tonight, I'll make the official transformation into the Incredible Hulk, complete with purple shorts, foam Hulk hands, and a metric ton of green make-up

I have an affinity for Halloween... I'm sure you can guess why.

Oh, and here's a Jack-O-Lantern.

Oooo.  Very scary.  Even scarier if you call yourself President McCain and Vice President Palin.

Just handing out candy to the rugrats that still go trick-or-treating and trying to keep the dogs calm.

Went to a party, and it was great.  I might put up some pics and story later, pending my decision on whether it's worth anyone's time to read.  See, I don't go to many parties, really, so maybe what I think is exceptional is just boring old normal, but it was the best party I've ever been to.   But this being a dilemma has me in good spirits.

The kid went to a halloween party (at an uberChristian's house..  :|   It had a lolly pushed through the paper.

I'm still kinda bummed that, while we are surrounded by religious folks, no one hands out Chick tracts... I really want one but I'm not gonna buy them.

it looks like some cryptic message might be hidden in the jack-0-lantern.

I had a great time at the halloween party last night and met Lori Lipman Brown.  For those who don't know who she is here is a clip of her on the Colbert report: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colber ... ---atheism (http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/180127/august-29-2008/better-know-a-lobby---atheism)  She has been speaking at a couple campuses here in the DFW area and we'll be going to her presentation this Sunday at the North Texas Church of Freethought.

Pictures will be posted later after they are uploaded by people who attended...I'll only be posting those that include people who wouldn't mind them being shown to the public.
