Oh yeah, I'm takin the topic back from the spammers!
I read Men's Health from maybe age 17 to age 24, and I really enjoyed the fact that it was tailored for me. It had everything from dieting and exercise advice from leading experts to hilarious and insightful articles about lifestyle.
What do you think about the publication?
I practically live on the website. I just wish it had more geared towards those of us in a lower income bracket. I mean, $800 for one fall look? That's almost my entire rent payment.
Still, the recipes are great (well, most of them) if you leave out all that damn protein powder.
I try to take care of myself, but I'm too inconsistent. I don't know if reading a mag like that would help me or not. I would probably find it too depressing. Do they have stories about regular guys, or just body builders and athletes and such?
Most of the stories about regular guys (of which I include myself) are "made-it" stories. Things like, "Jim was 55 years old, 250 pounds, smoked two packs of cigarettes a day and drank twelve beers every night. But, with the help of the Men's Health ABS Diet and no small amount of determination, he's down to 170 pounds, not smoking, and fitter than ever!"
I usually ignore most of that stuff. What I typically go for is the "Eat This, Not That" kind of stuff. The little changes they suggest you can make to your life that, over time, make a big difference. Like switching to Guiness, which, after a year's worth of replacing a six-pack a week with Guiness, will net you a loss of 7 pounds (it's 4% alcohol which makes for a pretty serious calorie drop).

Most of it is intended for a(n affluent) regular guy. It's not a bodybuilding magazine.
