Post by: Dickson on August 23, 2008, 04:42:45 PM
Obama has picked Joe Biden as his running mate.

Thoughts?

I thought it was strange that he did it by text message at 3am.  We were very surprised when we were flipping channels around 1am our time and I just happened to notice that CNN said Obama had picked Biden.  Other than that, I don't have much to say since I don't follow politics closely enough to have an opinion on Biden yet. (In other words, I don't follow much of politics at all.)

I miss Jed Bartlet.

Biden is a smart choice. He has a ton of experience and he could take over if anything ever did happen to Obama. Those seem the most logical necessities for an Obama vip. I would have liked to see Kucinich named, but that's because I'm almost TOO liberal.

Ditto Kucinich.  No such thing as too liberal, though.

I agree that Biden is a good choice.  I did think the 3 am text message thing was pretty strange, though.  But what do I know?  I'm not running for President.

And yes, there is such a thing as too liberal.  :P
