I first learned of Marrakech in 1969 listening to Crosby, Stills and Nash. Ever since, I have wanted to go. Maybe in May I will make it. I want to see "colored cottons hang in the air, charming cobras in the square, striped djellabas we can wear at home". Let me hear you now.

The trip was fantastic. Madrid is a passionate but elegant baroness; Lisbon is a lusty working girl; and Marrakesh is a mysterious and exotic seductress. Food: Madrid - Iberian ham and tapas; Lisbon - seafood; Marrakesh - tajine chicken and olives.  Music: Madrid - Flamenco; Lisbon - Fado; Marrakesh - Gnawa & belly dancing. Architecture: Madrid - majestic; Lisbon - tiled streets and sidewalks; Marrakesh - mud bricks and fantastic mosaics.

It's been so long since I have posted photos here I have forgotten how. Can someone give me a brief tutorial?

You would need to upload them to an image hosting site first. Lately I've been using imgbb (https://imgbb.com/). Used to use imgur, but they got in a squabble with the UK and no longer allow images hosted on their site to be viewed in the UK.

Once uploaded to the image hosting site you can post them here by using the image URLs from the site between img tags:

Result:

Note that a proper image URL will end with .jpg or .png  for the most part.

I've tried imgbb before, but gave it another go. I did not create an account, but logged in with my Google credentials. That seemed easier than creating an account, so perhaps you could try that route.

Here is my test photo:

well i dunno shit about imgbb, but that is an exceptional image.

imgbb continues to tell me that my perfectly ordinary username (my email) is invalid. its been doing that since day one.

Certainly imgur's site is a bit easier to navigate. In my experience the imgbb site works, but doesn't always make it obvious how to get what you want. On the good side of janky, just.  There are other free image hosting sites, billy rubin mentioned postimages (https://postimages.org/) already, and there are others (https://www.guru99.com/free-photo-hosting.html). Most of the sites on their list I've never heard of but may be worth checking out.

Good to hear from you hermes! Splendid blooms. :)

ah

better.

^^this.

weve got some amish roofers re-doing our decreprit roof, and part of the deal was that they re-pillar the front porch.  so theyve sawn off the front of thev100 year old porch, re-supported the roof with 6 x 6 timbers, and im bemused st the really shitty 100 year old construction.

friday i pay them for the roof and the give me an estimate for re-flooring the front porch.

Thanks! It was one of a series of reference photos I took for a painting of Clivias I did some time ago.
