I suggest that the tales in the New Testament are also fictional accounts.

One may also find the book: Inventing Jesus, of some interest if such stuff floats your boat.. Paul Gabel, the author presents the New Testament as a work of fiction. The book is a fairly large one, his premise is backed up by an expansive bibliography.

...I liked that story. It's not a long read, but profound in its own way.
[EDIT] "The Last Question." That was it. There may be some "better" Gospel-related fiction out there, but few stories that tell quite as much while wasting as little time as that one. The Asmo endorseth.
