Pupils 'sob' as vicar discusses existence of Santa (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgr9v1ppglo)
You couldn't make this up!!!
That's so sad! I remember seeing that Santa's handwriting on my presents was the same as my mother's, at age seven. I didn't say a word- I didn't want that gravy train to stop.
It's a pretty cool story but it also makes me curious. As your thread title says, Tank, there is amusing irony in a professional peddler of myth debunking a myth he doesn't believe in. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt that most of the "10 and 11 year old" children actually thought that there's a magic man in strange clothing who manages to covertly leave gifts all over the world on one particular night.
The article makes much of the unsourced claim that children gasped and sobbed. Really? If so it most likely was just one or two of the particularly incurious ones. As if they hadn't heard classmates debunking the existence of Father Christmas for at least a year or two.
the conflict between christmas and clausmas is in view.
and what is the difference?

The Asmo was about six or seven when He had a good think about Santa, then grumpily decided that "NO. :asmo: "
He, however, did not remain silent and used His new-found clarity to negotiate for
better loot. :smilenod:
