i always think of stein as oppressively avante garde, dour and politically artistic. and toklas as always being in the shadows, which apparently is true, for that part.
i suppose i should blame hemingway forthat, because i honestly know almost nothing about them. i mean, can anybody recite any of stein's poetry? but i just came across this very human picture of the two, and so it makes me think about the transience of life experience, the white morroccan towns, palaeontology, and so so. the sorts of things you think about when you look over the fence into a graveyard.
anyway, its a great picture of an unguarded moment by two public figures known more for their reputations than for their actual natures.
so what sorts of unguarded moments have you discovered in some famous persons life lately?
Interesting title ;D ;D ;D
More pix, and stories, of famous people. Fun read.............
