Post by: MarcusA on June 15, 2023, 09:48:27 PM
It all ends in nihilism.

It is with great reluctance, and considerable apprehension that I am posting here. I have my suspicions about your questioning.

In a meaningless universe, it certainly is.

That's when I grab destiny by the scrotum, and circumcise my way to success. Know what I mean?

Destiny is like a phallus, you can ride it or deride it.

Destiny comes fast.

Destiny always ends in disaster. The Titanic was destined to sink.

Everything sinks, eventually.

It was not. That's what happened, but even among the three ships in her class, one fatally grazed a iceberg while Leonardo Dicaprio was making out with Kate Winslet, one struck a mine and one was retired and scrapped. Three very different fates.

Personally, I don't see the concept of destiny as legitimate. Things may have a purpose and/or a predictable timeline, but even in cases where there is a "grand plan," deviations can and do occur.

I don't believe in destiny. I believe in a fair go for all.

Life is ugly and scary. Hoomans have a difficult time accepting reality. They paint pretty pictures to distract themselves.

"Destiny", confirms the certainty of their consequence.

Destiny confirms the likelihood that you will die.

Scepticism is healthy but an excess of anything decidedly not.

I don't believe in myself anymore.
