The claims of scientists for AI and the extension of human life   are just nuts.

Space might be the last frontier but no-one is going past the moon for a long, long time.

I thought that my schizophrenia was caused by the interference of a future supercomputer, now that's fucked up.

Richard Dawkins is good at "popularising" science. He's an adequate academic in his own right, but I think his greater talent lies in being able to talk about scientific matters to people not well-versed in such. The gift of an educator, I suppose you may call it. He's kind-of in the same club as Neil Degrasse Tyson.

The Asmo, He has read The Selfish Gene. A classic at this point, but it didn't age badly. :smilenod:

I read Climbing Mount Improbable, well almost.
I got to about 20 pages from the summit and stopped 'cause it was getting repetitive.
There's probably nuances I'm to thick to appreciate, although I peeked at the peak (last page).
It was good though, evolution is largely intuitive but there are little twists involved.
I think the God Delusion is fine.
What are the complaints anyway?
He's not expert enough to do it?
Fck that, religion it's obviously crap.
It just doesn't deserve deeper delving.

Well, the science in that book is pretty much understood already.
