I recently saw a pic (maybe here? I'm all over the internet like crab lice) where some guy was committing Seppuku and there was a guy behind him that hacked his spine after he gored himself (to make sure, I guess).

I have the same sense of confusion about this topic, tbh.
I think no one has clues in his OP and we are to guess who they relate to.
The only thing I can come up with is Weird Al in his song I Lost On Jeopardy where he shames his entire family. But no one yelled "Incorrect!". It sounds like the contestant of a Japanese game show where if you value your honor you'll get the questions right. Otherwise you bring shame to your family for generations to come. But you do get a copy of their home game as a parting gift.
